Cover
Agreed in writing, or it is not agreed.
Send the town on the request form. A request is not a booking. The office replies by email and says whether that site can be covered.
- You write the town, the site, the hours, and the risk you already know about. A gate that is forced every week is useful to say. A guess at a crime rate is not.
- We reply by email. The reply says whether we can cover it, what the officer would do, which licence the role needs, and what it would cost.
- If you accept, the assignment is written down: address, start, finish, duties, fee, and the email address to use if the site changes.
- On the day, the officer works to that assignment. A change of hours or a new entrance is a new instruction, not a shout across a yard.
Fees
There is no single hourly rate on this page. The fee depends on the site, the hours, the licence, and how much notice you can give. Bank holidays, nights, and a requirement for a particular licence change the price. Get the fee in the written quote, with what is included and what would be charged on top.
If we cannot take it
We would rather refuse a site than invent cover. Distance, notice, the wrong licence, or a request that belongs to the police are reasons to decline. The email will say why.
